Each lesson works on one sentence-building block, with the phonetics noted in full: tones and long or short vowels marked on every word. Phonetics that leave these distinctions aside can leave you misunderstood despite having correct vocabulary. Here, they're indicated on every word. WHO THIS IS FOR. French-speaking adults. All levels, from complete beginner to advanced learner: the lessons adapt to what you already know and what you want to improve. Travellers, future expatriates, spouses of Thai people, anyone curious about the language. HOW IT WORKS. First lesson free: we look at where you stand, what you want to be able to say, and I show you concretely what "thinking in blocks" means. You come away from this first lesson having already produced correct sentences. If it's not for you, we stop there, at no cost. READING AND WRITING as an option: the Thai alphabet can be learned, it's not out of reach, and it frees you from approximate phonetics. We take it on when you're ready, never imposed.
About me
French, nearly bilingual in Thai: I've been practising the language since 2013 and I've spent over ten years in Thailand, including six as an expatriate. TEFL certified (120 hours, Chiang Mai, 2020), I taught English there at primary and secondary level in Phuket until April 2023, three years in the classroom before devoting myself to Thai. I learned this language as a self-taught speaker, in French, with all the mistakes that implies. I made them in order. That's what lets me see yours coming before you do.
