C2 (Mastery / Proficiency)

Mastery is the top of the framework, and the description is deliberately absolute: understanding virtually everything heard or read, reconstructing arguments from several sources into one coherent presentation, and expressing yourself spontaneously and precisely enough to mark finer shades of meaning even in complex situations. It is not a native speaker's level, which the framework never claims to measure, but it is where studying stops looking like studying. Lessons work on what you produce for real purposes, and the corrections are about idiom, allusion and the precise weight of a word. Most people come here for an exam, a publication or a role that demands the certificate.
