Private Spanish Lessons with Roberto in NYC

Dear students, My name is Roberto. I am a Spanish tutor, born in Mexico City, with over 20 years of experience teaching Spanish in person in New York City. I offer personalized lessons. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish in New York to students of all levels. I am a graduate of Columbia University in New York City. I have worked with adult students in private lessons at their homes, universities, schools, companies and organizations. Among my students have been university professors, historians, scientists, engineers, veterans, United States diplomats, an Oscar winning director, Grammy award winning recording studio staff, architects, directors at New York based corporations, social workers, and also many New Yorkers who study Spanish for work, travel or personal interest. I have also collaborated with the State Department in preparing American consuls and ambassadors who needed specific certifications in Mexican Spanish. I have done English to Spanish translations and transcriptions. Previously, I worked for six years at the Wall Street Journal in various roles, from IT to photography to translating news into Spanish for the Dow Jones Spanish language subscription service. My lessons include conversation, pronunciation, reading, grammar, exam preparation and a variety of homework exercises. Over the years I have taught more than a thousand students.
