Dear students, My name is Roberto. I'm a Spanish tutor born in Mexico City, and I have more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish in person in New York City. I offer personalized classes. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish in New York to students of all levels. I'm a graduate of Columbia University in New York City. I have worked with adult students in private lessons at their homes, universities, schools, companies and organizations. My students have included university professors, historians, scientists, engineers, veterans, US diplomats, an Oscar winning director, Grammy award winning recording studio staff, architects, executives at New York based corporations, social workers, and also many New Yorkers studying Spanish for work, travel or personal interest. I also worked with the State Department preparing US consuls and ambassadors who needed specific Mexican Spanish certifications. I have done English to Spanish translations and transcriptions. Previously, I worked for six years at the Wall Street Journal in various roles, from IT to photography to translating news into Spanish for the Dow Jones Spanish language subscription service. My classes include conversation, pronunciation, reading, grammar, exam preparation and various homework exercises. Over the years I have taught more than a thousand students.
