Online Serbian lessons for foreigners

Teaching Serbian to someone who did not grow up with it is a genuine specialism, and it is not the same skill as teaching Serbian literature to Serbian teenagers. It means knowing which case to introduce third, being able to explain why a perfectly correct sentence sounds odd, and having the patience to be asked the same question about aspect four weeks running. There are people who do exactly this, and most of them are in Belgrade. If you are anywhere else in the country, or not in the country yet, online is simply how you reach one instead of settling for a neighbour who is kind but has never had to explain their own grammar. It also fits the way adults actually have time. A lesson at eight in the morning before work, or at nine at night, is arrangeable when nobody travels, and short frequent sessions suit language learning far better than one long weekend block. Say in your first message what you need Serbian for, because paperwork, a job and a partner's family are three different courses.
