Serbian language tutors in Serbia

Serbian at school is three subjects wearing one name. Grammar and syntax can be learned like maths, with rules and exercises, and a pupil who drills them collects those marks reliably. Literature is reading and remembering, and most of what goes wrong there is a set text nobody opened rather than a text nobody understood. The essay is a third thing and the least self taught: it is the craft of holding one argument across five paragraphs, introducing a quotation so that it works for you, and not opening with a sentence that says nothing. That is where most pupils lose points, and it is exactly what improves fastest with someone you hand a draft to who hands it back crossed through with reasons. The matura adds all three together. If your child is in Serbian school and you do not read the language well yourself, this is the subject where you cannot check the homework, so the tutor is doing the marking you would otherwise do. Ask which of the three parts is weakest, then ask the tutor how many essays they have marked this year. The first lesson is usually free; send a recent essay before it.
