Online lessons in any subject

This is the widest page on the site: every subject, every level, taught over video rather than in a room. It is worth knowing when that is actually the right choice and when it is not. Online earns its place in two situations. The first is a subject nobody near you teaches, or teaches at the depth you need, which is most people's reason for being here. The second is a week that will not hold a fixed hour in a fixed place, because a call can move by a day without also moving forty minutes of travel. If neither applies to you, and the subject is one where someone sits beside a child and watches their hand move, book someone local instead. Younger children, handwriting, anything drawn with a compass: a room is still better, and nobody selling lessons will tell you so. Two things worth doing before you book. Say in the first message what you actually need and by when, because a deadline changes which tutor suits you far more than your current level does. And use the free first lesson to test the arrangement rather than to be taught: the connection from the room you will really sit in, whether you can say you do not understand without it being awkward, and whether the hour suits both sides once the novelty has gone.
