Dear students, My name is Roberto, I am a Spanish tutor. I was born in Mexico City and have over 20 years of experience teaching Spanish in-person in New York City. I offer personalized classes. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish in New York to students of all levels. I am a graduate of Columbia University in New York City. I have worked with adult students in private lessons at their homes, universities, schools, companies, and organizations. Among my students have been university professors, historians, scientists, engineers, veterans, U.S. diplomats, an Oscar-winning director, Grammy Award-winning recording studio personnel, architects, directors in NY-based corporations, social workers, and also many New Yorkers who study Spanish for work, travel, or personal interest. I have also collaborated with the State Department in preparing U.S. consuls and ambassadors who needed specific Spanish certifications from Mexico. I have done English-Spanish translations and transcriptions. Previously, I worked for six years at the Wall Street Journal in various activities, from IT and photography to translating news into Spanish for the Dow Jones Spanish subscription service. My classes include conversation, pronunciation, reading, grammar, exam preparation, and various homework exercises. Over the years, I have taught more than a thousand students.
