Maths tutoring for faculty entrance exams in Serbia

Admission to a Serbian faculty runs through its own entrance paper, the prijemni ispit, and in maths that paper is a closed set: the faculty publishes a problem book, the types repeat for years, and what comes up on the day is something a candidate has already seen with different numbers. So the work is volume and recognition rather than depth. A candidate who genuinely gets through several hundred problems by June sits down calmly, while one who understood everything and solved little runs out of time on the third question. The collections come from the faculties themselves: the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Organisational Sciences in Belgrade, the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis. Most faculties also run their own preparatory classes, which are free or nearly so and worth attending; a private hour is for the part those cannot give you, which is somebody watching you solve. Prices start at about 1,200 dinars an hour. Every profile shows the tutor's background, price and free slots, and some offer a free first lesson.
