I'm a passionate and dedicated teacher who truly enjoys helping students grow and celebrating their progress. I believe empathy is essential in teaching, and I always try to put myself in the student’s shoes—after all, I’ve been there myself and remember what it’s like. I started learning Japanese in 2011 while studying for my degree in Asian and African Studies. Like many others, my interest was first sparked by Japanese pop culture, especially video games. I was lucky enough to spend a year living in Tokyo and studying at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (Tokyo Gaikokugo Daigaku). I hold the JLPT N2 certification and have broad experience teaching Japanese in both public and private settings, including at Official Language Schools. I've taught students of all ages and levels, from children to adults. I also hold a Master's Degree in Education, specializing in language teaching.
